JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Neonatology • Job Type: Permanent • Location: Alexandria, LA • Service Setting: Inpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: TBD; 7 On/7 Off (Rotation)• On-Call Schedule: Home Call After Daily Rounds • Call Type: Home Call PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Premature, critically ill newborns, & newborn nursery patients • Patient Volume: TBD • Annual Deliveries: Approx. 1500–2000• Admissions: Yes • Rounding included: Yes • Phone Consults: As Needed • Case Mix: NICU and newborn nursery management FACILITY INFORMATION • No of Beds: 34-Bed Level III NICU • Support Staff: 2 Neonatologists and 4 NNPs • 24/7 In-House NNP Coverage • NNP-Led Neonatal Transport Team • Collaborative multidisciplinary neonatal care environment REQUIRED PROCEDURES/DUTIES • NICU management • Newborn nursery care • Neonatal stabilization and resuscitation • Evidence-based neonatal treatment protocols JOB REQUIREMENTS
