Residential Window & Door Installer

Location: Baldwin, NY 11510
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay: $26–$35 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Window & Door Installer to join a residential home improvement team serving customers throughout Long Island. This is a full-time, year-round opportunity for someone experienced in replacement window and door installation who takes pride in quality workmanship, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate can perform installations efficiently, work safely in residential settings, and deliver clean, professional finishes.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and replace residential windows, including double-hung, casement, sliding, and other window styles.
• Install entry doors, storm doors, and sliding patio doors.
• Remove existing windows and doors and prepare openings for new installations.
• Measure openings, position and secure units, and ensure proper alignment and operation.
• Complete flashing, shimming, insulation, caulking, and waterproofing.
• Perform interior and exterior trim work, capping, sealing, and finishing.
• Use hand and power tools safely and maintain an organized work area.
• Protect customers’ homes, communicate professionally with homeowners, and clean up after each project.
• Work collaboratively with installation team members to complete projects on schedule.
  

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on residential window and door installation experience required.
• Knowledge of replacement installation methods, flashing, weatherproofing, and finish work.
• Ability to read measurements, use installation tools, and troubleshoot common installation issues.
• Carpentry and trim experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work on ladders and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship.
• Ability to travel to residential job sites throughout Long Island.
